For those of us using assistant IDs instead of transient assistants through the API, it would be great if we could add function call messages either through the dashboard or through Assistant Overrides.
Would also be very useful to change what the assistant says if the function is still running (i.e. 'Sorry, a few more seconds').

This is already supported. Check Tools documentation: https://docs.vapi.ai/tools-calling. Currently, not exposed on the dashboard but will be soon.

Nikhil Gupta Thanks, Nikhil. Does that include the phrase that the assistant says whenever the user says something in the middle of the function call? I couldn't find that on the documentation.
