Is there any way to treat the result of a function/tool call as a system message to prompt the AI on how to proceed next?

You can return message directly in the tool response on what to say.

Nikhil Gupta Hello, thank you for your reply. I followed the format in the document to respond, but I got an error "No result returned for call_XXX". The section on the right doesn't have any examples of tool calls, so I can't determine where the error is.

Neither of the two responses shown in the image work. However, if 'message' is replaced with 'result', it does work, but then it doesn't have the effect of a system message.
