It would be great to run agentic workflows and this does not work with the current 20 second timeout. Bonus: Allow to make these calls async so i can continue talking with the assistant and it will come back to it once the results are there.

Everything is customizable with new Tools upgrade. You can make any tool async. Let us know if there's anything missing.

for the bonus feature: we already have vapi.send in the SDK. It would be great to expose that feature to the API
